Workshops are a great way to develop your understanding of Pilates and challenge your body.

Buff Bones® is a medically-endorsed workout that combines Pilates, functional movement, strength training, and therapeutic exercise with bone-strengthening and balance techniques to optimize the health and safety of your bones. The workout follows a research-supported design of specifically sequenced exercises, making it an entire system of bone and joint health, rather than just a set of exercises.  Toning your arms, hips, back and abs, the Buff Bones® system also improves posture, is adaptable to varying levels, and is even safe for those with osteoporosis.

Happy Feet

Feet are the foundation of the body. In your lifetime they will take you on average 3,000 - 4,000 steps every day.

 

Feet:

1) Support the body

2) Act as stabilisers adjusting to help you balance

3) Act as shock absorbers 

You will learn a series of mobilisation and strengthening exercises for the feet which can be practiced at home.  

 

Childrens Pilates

These classes can help develop balance, flexibility, stability and stamina. Children’s Pilates classes also promote movement, cardio-vascular work, good posture and greater confidence. Pilates principles are followed but these classes are unlike adult classes.

 

With a BIG focus on fun and for younger children the incorporation of storytelling, acting and rhythm. Where possible after each course students perform a story scenario for parents.

 

Trained to teach 5-11 year olds Pilates classes with Body Control Pilates. In process of gaining Level 2 qualification.

 

Fully DBS (formerly CRB) checked.

Pilates for Teens

These classes can help develop balance, flexibility, stability and stamina. Children’s Pilates classes also promote movement, cardio-vascular work, good posture and greater confidence. There is a greater focus on the more traditional Pilates repertoire. 

 

Teenagers today face huge pressures and Pilates teaches breathing techniques as well as providing much needed time to focus on the present and re-connect. Pilates will also assist with developing greater body awareness and alignment.

 

Trained to teach 12-16 year olds Pilates classes with Body Control Pilates. In process of gaining Level 2 qualification.
